Munch my Monday #6 – Apple Pie Oatmeal

Hello everyone,

I am shocked that I am able to tell you that I had a nice AND relaxing weekend! Yes really! I am not kidding you! Last week I told you I would work from home on Friday but well let’s say I didn’t. I needed to go to the office but I kept it light and worked only 6 hours. In the afternoon my hubby and I bought a new freezer and somehow we managed to carry it from the car to the appartment. More than once I had the lattice pressed to my face during that process. And at one point I was laughing so hard that I almost dropped the hole thing. But we managed to bring it home unscratched. Now I am happy to have a new place to store my frozen goods. I am great at baking but not so good at eating my bakes 😛 And we got a decent 25% discount since we bought the demonstration model. Strike 😉

Saturday we spend eating 🙂 We started the day with breakfast with friends at their house where we were intodruced to their cute little boy. Our friends are planning their wedding in June next year so we talked a lot about wedding stuff. So much fun when it doesn’t involve me in the whole preparation process 🙂

In the evening we met with friends at the best local restaurant we have. You get the best and cheapest steak you can imagine! So the evening was brilliant!

Sunday started with a little cleaning and then our nieces came over for baking. It’s their favorite thing to do with us because we color the cookies and cakes with blue and purple frosting and we allow them to have sugar sprinkles whilst decorating the cookies. No need to be too strict when you’re not the parents 😉

And now again too soon it’s Monday which means it’s Munch my Monday time…

logo2Last WIAW I showed you one of my favorite breakfasts. I have it every day at the moment because it’s fantastic for a chilly fall morning. And it tastes more like a dessert than a healthy breakfast! Apparently you liked it so I won’t keep my recipe from you. So today we’ll have a breakfast version of Munch my Monday.
